Introduction
The Department of Animal Food Products Technology formerly, the Department of Dairy Technology was established in 2022 at Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, BZU. The Department of Animal Food Products Technology is first of its kind in South Punjab that is purely offering the programs relevant to the animal-based foods like milk, meat and eggs. It provides comprehensive education and training in this specialized field. The Department is equipped with state of the art class rooms, wide range of scientific equipment and have facilities to develop the animal based novel food products. By offering specialized programs and equipping students with modern facilities, the Department of Animal Food Products Technology plays a vital role in meeting the growing demand for skilled professionals in the animal-based food industry. It prepares graduates to enter diverse career paths such as food processing and manufacturing companies, quality assurance laboratories, research institutions, regulatory bodies, and even entrepreneurship in the field of animal-based food products. In this time span, department also signed three Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with these following organizations.

Signing MOUs with the following organizations has provided our department with significant benefits, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and mutual growth. These MOUs facilitates a robust exchange of knowledge, research collaboration, industry partnerships and market insights. These MOUs collectively contribute to the department's overarching goal of creating a more sustainable, innovative, and collaborative environment within the dairy sector.
