Post Event Report: ICS Thesis / Project / Product Showcasing 2025

1. Event Summary

The ICS Thesis/Project/Product Showcase 2025 was successfully held on 20 May, 2025 under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Najam ul Haq, Director ICS. This event served as a dynamic platform for ICS students to present their academic projects, innovative products, and entrepreneurial ideas. It exemplified the institute's dedication to fostering research, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit among students at the intermediate level.

2. Chief Guest and Distinguished Presence

The event was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Zubair Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, who praised the students’ innovative spirit and highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence and applied research.

Also in attendance were:

• Prof. Dr. Asif Yaseen Director, Business Incubation Centre (BIC) emphasized the role of BIC in supporting student entrepreneurship and showed interest in guiding promising projects towards incubation.
• Prof. Dr Javeed Ahmad Dean, Faculty of Science commended the quality and relevance of the projects presented.
• Faculty from Various Departments Biochemistry, Commerce, IMS, Mathematics, Pharmacy – actively participated in project evaluations and mentoring.

3. Key Outcomes and Highlights

• Over 92 projects were presented across diverse categories such (a) Project/ Product Showcasing & Prototype Demonstrations, (b) Idea Pitch Competition (c) Poster Exhibition

• Project and prototypes were evaluated in following five categories:

1. Best Poster – Research Innovation (Jury’s Decision)
2. Best Prototype Showcase (Jury’s Decision)
3. Best Product Showcasing (Jury’s Decision)
4. Most Promising Industry-Focused Project (Jury’s Decision)
5. Best Pitch (Jury’s Choice)
6. SDG Impact Certificate (Jury’s Decision)
7. Students Choice Certificates (based on PhD Students Committee choice)

• Students gained valuable feedback from experts and faculty, enhancing both technical and presentation skills.
• A few projects were marked for potential incubation support by the BIC team.
• The event witnessed high visitor engagement, including faculty, students, and external guests.

4. Appreciation and Acknowledgement

Students were awarded appreciation certificate by Director ICS in Awards and Certificate Distribution Ceremony on 02-06-2025 at ICS, Main Auditorium.

The Top ten positions in all categories were highlighted to encourage innovative solutions presented by students.

The collective efforts of students were highly appreciated by all present dignitaries and faculty members. The feedback highlighted:

• Creativity in solution-building.
• Presentation confidence and demonstration skills.
• Relevance to societal and technological needs.

This appreciation served as a strong motivational boost to students.

5. Media and Post-Event Publicity

To broaden the reach and celebrate student achievements:

• Social media posts and highlights were shared across official university and departmental platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Institute Home page.).
• Photographs and short videos from the event were used to create digital content to engage the online community.
• The event was also covered in local newspapers, extending visibility to external stakeholders and academic circles.

This post-event publicity helped showcase the institution’s support for innovation and promoted the students’ talent to a wider audience.

7. Conclusion

The ICS showcasing 2025 was a resounding success, celebrating innovation, applied learning, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. It helped bridge academic skills with real-world applicability and opened doors for further development under the Business Incubation Centre.

We thank all dignitaries, faculty members, and the BIC team for their invaluable support and presence. The event sets a strong precedent for future editions and deeper institutional collaboration in the domain of student-led innovation.
