Alhamdulillah! I am deeply humbled and honoured to share that on May 12, 2026, I received the Best Research Award in Science from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, for the Best Published Book.

It is a matter of great pride that our book, “Practicing R for Statistical Computing,” has achieved remarkable recognition worldwide. According to the official website of the publisher, Springer Nature, more than 28,000 (28K) copies of the book have been sold/accessed online within less than three years of its publication.

I sincerely express my gratitude to my co-author, Dr. Muhammad Imdad Ullah(Ghazi University), my Department, Faculty of Science, and Bahauddin Zakariya University for their continuous support and encouragement. I am also thankful to Higher Education Commission for this prestigious recognition.

This achievement would not have been possible without the blessings of Allah the Almighty, the support of my students, friends, and family. May this serve as a motivation to continue contributing to research, statistical computing, and data analytics.
