I am leading Plant Physiology and Photosynthesis Research Lab at the Institute of Botany. At present, two research projects are going on.
· Dissecting the role of proline in mediating salt tolerance in wheat via photosynthesis, ion homeostasis, and redox signaling: Implications in improving crop productivity. 4.87 million Pak rupees as PI (2023). Funded by HEC under NRPU program.
· Exploring the Role of Photosynthetic Efficiency in Salt Tolerance of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.): An Integrated Physiological and Molecular Approach. 0.35 million Pak rupees as PI (2023) funded by ORIC, BZU Multan.
