I completed my DVM degree at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Pakistan, followed by an M.Phil. in Veterinary Medicine with at the same institution. I later earned my PhD in Veterinary Medicine under the Faculty Development Scholarship from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. I undertook a research fellowship of one year at the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine, University of Minnesota, USA. After completing my M.Phil., I joined Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan as Lecturer, in 2016. Since 2023, I have been serving as an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine in the Department of Clinical Sciences. In this role, I have actively engaged in academic, research, and extension activities, contributing to livestock health and productivity in Pakistan. My research focuses on mastitis, tick-borne diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable livestock health management. I have authored over 41 peer-reviewed research articles, several book chapters, and numerous conference abstracts and presentations at both national and international forums. I have also supervised graduate students and collaborated with leading institutions in Pakistan and abroad on projects related to mastitis epidemiology, acaricide resistance, and molecular detection of pathogens. My work emphasizes the prudent use of antimicrobials in livestock and the development of integrated management strategies. Through my teaching, research, and extension efforts, I continue to actively contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine in Pakistan and remain committed to improving animal health and production through evidence-based, sustainable approaches.
