Introduction

The Department of Civil Engineering at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, is the oldest in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, having started its B.Sc. Civil Engineering program in 1993. This department has played a key role in establishing engineering education in Southern Punjab. In addition to undergraduate program, the department has also introduced M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs, further enhancing the commitment to advanced studies and research in civil engineering. All above programs are designed to foster deeper expertise and innovative research, preparing the students to tackle complex engineering challenges and contribute meaningfully to the field.

The department is proud to implement an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system in B.Sc. Civil Engineering program, aligning with the standards set by the Pakistan Engineering Council. Our Level-II-degree program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet industry demands and succeed in their careers. Additionally, the department supports builders by offering state-of-the-art laboratories for testing and evaluating building materials, ensuring they are safe and effective for construction. Through focus on research and innovation, the department prepare graduates to tackle the challenges of the civil engineering field and make a positive impact on their communities and the environment.
