Introduction
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, established in October 2017, is a beacon of excellence in pharmaceutical education. Recognized by both the Higher Education Commission and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, the department currently offers M. Phil. and Ph.D. programs in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, providing students with a robust foundation in the field.
In a forward-looking approach, the department is set to introduce innovative programs, including a year-long Master's Program in Pharmaceutical Analysis and a six-month Diploma in Computational Drug Design. These programs, approved by relevant statutory bodies, signify the department's commitment to staying abreast of industry demands. With a focus on industry-academia linkage, the department aims to produce graduates equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills essential for thriving in the dynamic pharmaceutical landscape. Furthermore, the curriculum emphasizes cutting-edge aspects such as natural product chemistry and computer-aided drug design (CADD) reflecting the department's dedication to fostering advancements in new drug design and discovery. This strategic collaboration underscores the department's commitment to preparing professionals who can make meaningful contributions to the pharmaceutical sector.

Eligibility: Educational Qualifications: · Candidates must hold a Pharm.D or B. Pharmacy degree with a minimum of 5 Years/ for Pharm.D and 4 years for B. Pharmacy of education. · The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) required is 2.5 out of 4.0 or 2.8 out of 5.0 under the semester system. · Alternatively, candidates should have at least 50% marks in the annual examination of Pharm-D or B. Pharmacy in the relevant subject.
Registration: · Candidates must possess a valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP).
Admission Test: · A subject-based Admission Test is mandatory for admission. The test will be conducted by the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at BZU, Multan. · Alternatively, candidates can also submit a valid GAT (General) conducted by NTS (National Testing Service) for admission. Merit Determination: · The highest score obtained in either the GAT (General) or the Subject-Based Test conducted by the department will be considered for merit calculations. · Merit will be determined based on the overall performance in the admission test.

Eligibility: Educational Qualifications: · Candidates must hold M.Phil. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Equivalent. · The minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) required is ≥3.0 out of 4.0 or ≥4.0 out of 5.0 under the semester system.
Admission Test: · A subject-based Admission Test is mandatory for admission. The test will be conducted by the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at BZU, Multan. · Alternatively, candidates can also submit a valid GAT (Subject-Based) conducted by NTS (National Testing Service) for admission. Merit Determination: · The highest score obtained in either the GAT (Subject-Based) by NTS or the Subject-Based Test conducted by the Department will be considered for merit calculations. · Merit will be determined based on the overall performance (GAT score of 60% or more or Subject Based Department Test of 70% or more in the admission test.

Computational Drug Design (6 months) |

Eligibility: Students must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in related discipline after bachelor’s. Merit Determination: This Diploma program is pending, approval from the requisite statutory bodies of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU). Upon receiving the necessary clearance, the program will be officially launched and applications will be accepted.
